Adding Users
To add new users, follow the steps in the guides linked below.
Switching Between Users
To switch between users, follow the steps in the guides linked below.
Using Multiple Profiles
Each user profile is able to have a fully unique user experience.
This includes the following:
- Home screen layouts
- Network shares
- Library data (playlists, collections, etc...)
- Watched history
- Ratings
- Parental controls
- iCloud accounts
- Cloud backups (tvOS only)
- Trakt accounts
- Other local settings
When switching to a new profile, Infuse will recognize this automatically. If the Apple ID for the current user has data stored in iCloud Infuse will pull this in, but if no existing data is present then Infuse will appear empty (like it was installed for the very first time) and you can start customizing things to your liking.
The current version of tvOS has a bug which prevents Infuse‘s Up Next list from updating on the Apple TV home screen when switching between profiles. This list will appear correctly when viewed from within the Infuse app itself. We have reported this issue to Apple and are hoping for a quick fix.
If you want to avoid this issue for now, you may consider disabling the Up Next List option in Infuse > Settings > General.
Sharing Pro Features
Apple does not currently allow sharing of data or activated features between profiles, but purchases can be shared by enabling Apple‘s Family Sharing. This allows a single purchase to be shared with others in your household. Learn more about Family Sharing
