What is Infuse?

An Introduction

Infuse is a versatile video player app available for iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Mac, and Vision. It can play virtually every video file ever created, and can automatically download metadata and artwork to help you keep your entire video library organized.

What media types are supported?

Infuse supports all common video files, and many other less common types.

Videos: 3GP, AVI, ASF, BDMV, DIVX, DVD, MEDIA, DVR-MS, FLV, ISO/IMG, M2TS, M4V, MKV, MOV, MP4, MPEG, MTS, MXF, OGM, OGV, TS, VIDEO_TS ,WEBM, WM, VWTV

Audio Tracks (contained within video files): AAC, AC3, E-AC3, DTS, DTS-HD, FLAC, MP3, OGG, DOLBY, WMA

Subtitles: DVB, DVDSUB, MICRODVD, MPL2, PGS, SMI, SSA/ASS, SRT, SUB, SUP, TIMED TEXT, TMP, TXT, VOBSUB, VTT, XSUB

What devices can I use Infuse on?

Infuse is compatible with most any recent Apple device, including:

  • iPhone (iOS 18 and later)
  • iPad (iPadOS 18 and later)
  • Apple TV (tvOS 18.5 and later)
  • Mac (macOS 15 and later)
  • Vision (visionOS 26 and later)

Older versions of Infuse for vintage Apple devices can accessed by first downloading the current version of Infuse on a newer device. Once this is done, Infuse can be found under the ‘Purchased’ section in the App Store on the older device.
